Committed to Compassionately Sharing Bikram Yoga
Carolan, Studio Owner
Inspired by the inner journey of my students, I am devoted to creating a nurturing, loving and joyful environment so each student can fulfill their potential.
I first tried Bikram Yoga for the challenge, but continued because it healed me inside and out. I’m honored to share this powerful practice with you and look forward to seeing you on the mat. In my spare time. I bartend, travel, and do crosswords- sometimes all at the same time!
Jennie became a Bikram instructor in the spring of 2011 and taught in Los Angeles. Outside of the hot room, Jennie loves traveling, tacos and surfing (she’s learning). She has a masters degree in Public Health.
I graduated Teacher Training in Spring 2010 and began teaching in Las Vegas, surrounded by showgirls, actors and other glittery fellow teachers and students. I moved to the DC area in 2011 and am thrilled to be a part of the culture (both Bikram Yoga and otherwise!) of this wonderful town. When not in the hot room, I enjoy spending time with my husband and wacky muppet dog, trying new restaurants, traveling, art, and a good book.
Lauren completed her 9 week Bikram Teacher Training in San Diego in 2010. She is happy to be back in DC and she is honored to teach at Bikram Yoga Dupont, forever her home studio, where she took her first class in 2008.
Luciana is an opera singer with the Washington National Opera and internationally. She became a Bikram Yoga instructor in 2005.
I discovered Bikram Yoga during the most unexpected yet opportune time of my life; it was love at first sight. After three years of constant practice, I went to training in 2010 and have had taught in Baltimore, Chile, Peru, Thailand and Malaysia. I love this yoga and look forward to meeting you and seeing you in the hot room!
This yoga came into my life in 2008. I went to teacher training in 2014 and fell even more in love with the yoga; it has helped me change my life for the better in many ways. Come take my class or practice with me…lets heal our bodies together from the inside out.
Rissa enjoys sharing her knowledge with students and is inspired by yoga and the movement arts. She became certified to teach Bikram Yoga in 2002 and is trained in martial arts, vipassana meditation and thai yoga massage. Rissa is also trained in culinary arts.
I’ve been practicing Bikram Yoga since 2005. Although I practiced other styles of yoga, I found Bikram to be far more challenging and healing to the body. I owe a lot of my love of fitness to my mom Carol, who taught me the value of exercise at a young age.
I began practicing at Bikram Yoga Dupont in 2004, and became a certified teacher in 2013. When not traveling for my work in international development, I love practicing and teaching, especially at BYD. I have been a guest teacher in Liberia, Maui, Kauai, and Palm Desert, CA.
Yasmin Tuazon became a teacher in June 2005. She works as an actor and will shamelessly promote any show she is in. Yasmin likes coffee, naps, NY Times crossword puzzles and Teaism. She also likes it when students bring jokes to the front desk (keep it relatively clean, folks).
Curiosity and a longing to help people led Wesley to the Bikram teacher training. He is most delighted to assist each student on their yogic journey, and looks forward to seeing you at the studio.
Gail, Studio Manager
Gail Taylor is a farmer, yogi and social justice activist. The Bikram Yoga Dupont community is such an important part of my life and I am honored to be part of it. I am grateful to all of the teachers who give the gift of guiding us through a moving meditation. And I am grateful to each and every student who share their energy every day.

This practice has helped to make balance, perspective and focus a priority while maintaining a demanding career in finance. She hopes to see you at the studio!
